Here’s a great post-google generation online tool for ideas and images.

Time-travel the web with TopFoto TimeSearch, thanks to author and academic Bamber Gascoigne, perhaps best known as Chairman of University Challenge before handing the baton to Jeremy Paxman.

TopFoto TimeSearch produces a wealth of images, ideas and material. You get hotlinks to TopFoto images on the right.  In the centre is Bamber Gascoigne’s TimeLine for TopFoto - with focussed, accurate information.  On the left you get hotlinks to expanded detail from Answers.com. 

Check out the year you were born, or 100 years ago … or just start at the Big Bang.
