Rafah, Israel/Egypt Border: An Israeli motorised column races for Rafah yesterday as the Israeli-Arab war got under way.
Israel claimed successes in the air and on land today, the second day of the war against the Egyptian-led Arab States.
A Tel Aviv announcement said the city of Gaza, in the heart of the Gaza strip, had fallen to her troops, as had Jerusalem.
