1016158 - 16th century Town End Farm , Troutbeck near Windermere, is to be taken over by the Chancellor of the Exchequer as part payment of death duties on the estate of Mr O.W.E. Hedley. The picturesque farm will eventually be handed over to the National Trust. April 1947
