This was the "counter-trial", set up by the communists, to examine the Reichstag Fire in Berlin (blamed by Hitler on the communists). It began on September 21, 1933. It lasted one week and concluded that the defendants were innocent, and the real initiators of the fire were from the leading Nazi Party elite.
