0469573 - After the victory for Penguin Books Ltd, at the Old Bailey today when the jury decided that D H Lawrence's novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover" is not obscene, Mrs Phyllis Nicholls, 21, of Hayes, Middlesex, puts the first copies of the paperback edition on the stand at the Penguin offices and works at Harmondsworth, Middlesex today. As a result of the case the 1960 paperback Penguin Edition will be the first unexpurgated publication of the novel to be put on sale in Britain - 2nd November 1960. Picture shows lunchtime Londoners eagerly awaiting the nearby clock to strike noon for then they would be able to buy the much publicised slim edition of "Lady Chatterley's Lover" on sale this time in Leicester Square.
