Bee stings as cure for rheumatism - Mrs J. Owen, granddaughter of an Austrian Royal physician who specialised in treating rheumatism by bee stings, owns some two million bees - yellow and black, all of which hang from the ceiling of a darkened and air conditioned room in cages - and which she believes to be the living answer to all types of rheumatic ills. This picture shows one of her clients in the act of having a hand stung. The treatment consists of some ten to fifty stings daily - a very painful treatment.
