While Namche is no hive of activity during the Monsoon months, it still retains it's charms and provides better opportunities to get to know the locals than in the main season. Trekking the Everest region in the Monsoon months is becoming increasingly popular for some. While the views are not so spectacular as in the main seasons, the elusive, cloudy landscapes are enchanting. The Monsoon reveals a different side of the Everest region, with bright displays of flowers and less trekkers, allowing for a different trek to the usual one -- Picture by Jon Mitchell / Lightroom Photos
