1045817 - The men who train scoutmasters gathered from all parts of the world at Gilwell Park Training Centre near Chingford, Essex, for a conference on scout training and methods. It was the first time such a conference had been organised on such a scale (7th September) and delegates from 45 countries including USA, Canada, Malta, Europe, Trinidad, North Rhodesia, Pakistan and Armenia, attented. Photo shows scouters studying the wood bridge over which one of the party is crossing, at Gilwell Park. Bridge is made from staves and logs. - Photo taken 9th September 1950.
