Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair stands in a cell during a visit to Slough police station near London. Mr Blair and the Home Secretary David Blunkett arrived in the Berkshire town on the 2.18 from Paddington before being driven to the police base to be shown around by Superintendent Brian Langston, area commander for Slough. The Prime Minister endorsed a series of law changes aimed at rebalancing the judicial system in favour of law-abiding citizens and victims of crime rather than the offenders themselves.
