The brave bird kept playing chicken on the busy Panama highway, prompting cops to try and shoo it away from its deadly pursuit. Undeterred, the dark-billed daredevil returned for another go at crossing the road, which it could easily have flown over. After standing and sussing out the traffic for several minutes, it coolly waddles across the busy motorway, totally unphased by the buses, cars and 4x4s thundering past it. Passers-by captured it on camera from a footbridge over the road, with the video set to be a new viral smash. Motorists can be seen slowing down or steering away from the thrill-seeking bird, with several cars missing it by inches. The cameraman then scrambled to catch the duck completing its feather-ruffling amble across the road, which could easily have resulted in duck pancake. The cameraman says: "In Panama this duck kept trying to cross the highway on foot and the police kept having to rescue it from disaster. "Eventually they left and the insane duck tried to cross the road again."
